Hoppers is run by a team of committed and experienced volunteers. Let us introduce ourselves ... it's always good to put names to faces.
Bridget Cass
Chair
Bridget Cass became Chair of Trustees in 2026 but has an extensive background in the charity sector. She was aware of Hoppers from its early links with the Stepney area and is keen to re-build these links, particularly through her own parish.
Mary Straw
Trustee
Mary Straw is a trustee at Hoppers because her farther Norry McCurry was instrumental in setting up Hoppers in it's current incarnation many years ago. He died 30 years ago and being a Hoppers trustee is her way of remembering him.
Raks Patel
Trustee
Raks has a real passion for Hoppers and it is great to have her input as a trustee.
Ann Morisy
Trustee
Ann Morisy lives in south London and has worked for the Church of England and the Methodist Church.
Ann is particularly interested in mission and community ministry as well as in urban issues and the often neglected issue of ageing and faith.
Margaret Kesterton

Margaret is our trusted treasurer, ensuring that our financial accounts are all in order!
Richard Strawson
Trustee
Richard is married to Susannah. He has long been a supporter of Hoppers and is privaleged to be a trustee for the charity.
Kizzie Proctor
Trustee
Kizzie lives in nearby East Peckham but used to be a very near neighbour to Hoppers. She has an interest in maintaining the history of Hoppers, but also helps look after the building.
Susannah Strawson
Caretaker/Laundry Services
Susannah lives in Five Oak Green, 5 minutes’ walk from Hoppers. She has lived in the village for 27 years with her husband Richard and they have been involved in various things at Hoppers for over 20 years, so it’s become a family concern!
