History

Ownership of 'Hoppers' in Five Oak Green can be traced back through the title deeds to the 1600's when it was owned by Thomas Bennett of East Peckham and his wife Frances.

"The main house is timber-framed but the ground floor level is under built with painted 19th century brick. The 2 larger central rooms were heated by a chimney between them with back-to-back fireplaces. Stair rise from each of the centre rooms.
