Village Lunch Club

Village Lunch started in September 2006 when a couple of ladies approached the senior citizens of Five Oak Green to ask if they would like a regular lunch club. The answer was a resounding 'yes'. The lunches are cooked by the volunteers and the club is run every 1st and 3rd week of the month term time.

As well as lunch, the club provides outings for Christmas lunch and afternoon tea and each time they meet they have either have a craft activity, a quiz, game or someone to come and visit. We are going to be watching a movie in the Hoppers lounge soon too! At least once a year Capel School Choir come and sing to us, which is always a special event.
