PLACES TO VISIT
Within easy reach are: Tonbridge
Castle, Bewl Water,
Leeds Castle, Hever
Castle, a Hop Farm
(open from Easter to the end of September) and the villages of Brenchley and Hadlow. Chartwell near
Westerham (home of Sir Winston Churchill for nearly 40 years) is open to
the public.
Tudeley Parish Church has stained glass windows by Marc
Chagall.
Capel Chapel has twelfth century wall paintings. Thomas aBecket preached
under its Yew tree. More information can be found at www.tudeley.org
Both Tudeley and Capel can be reached by public footpaths.
A map showing public footpaths and local pubs is on the notice board or on
sale at the Post Office.

THINGS TO DO
Groups normally schedule a programme though this is not a
requirement. There are two good sized, comfortable lounge/meeting rooms. These are
equipped with Good News Bibles, Songs of Fellowship and a variety of other
aids to worship and devotion.
The bookshelves in the Foyer contain a range of books and games donated by
previous visitors.
The history of Hoppers can be read in displays on the walls or from the
copy of “Pull No More Poles” that is on the bookshelf.
A room designated The Chapel can be a place of quiet.
There is a lawn at the back, which is pleasant, though the hedge around it
has had to be replanted.

Details of services can be found in the parish magazine on the
notice board in the Main House foyer. The Rev’d Jeremy Ive and his wife
